Blessed be His name!

If you have ever read Job, you know all the horrible things that happen to him. Satan totally took everthing away from Job, and when I say everthing, I mean EVERYTHING!

Job 1:13-19
13 One day when Job's sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother's house, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, 15 and the Sabeans attacked and carried them off. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"
16 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "The fire of God fell from the sky and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"
17 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and carried them off. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"
18 While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, "Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother's house, 19 when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"

Not much more could go wrong for Job in a situation like this. If you compare this to the troubles of your life, you can probably say almost in no way is this trial similar to any trials you have been through. If you have lost someone clost to you lately, or have gotten sick in any way, or even lost your most valuable possession, you have been through nothing like Job. We as Christians often find our self in many trials, but the trials we go through today are incredibly small and needless compared to the trials that Job went through. And if you look at what Job does in response to the trials he is going through, you should be amazed!

Job 1:20-21
20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised."

Job did such an awesome thing here, to all his trials he responded in praise and worship to God! Because we are followers of Christ this is the way we need to respond to all our trials, we need to respond in worship and obediance. It goes on to say:

Job 1:22
22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

Not only does Job respond with worship but Job also does not sin against God nor does he charge God with wrong doing. The reason he did this was because he knew that God is perfect and this was the Lord's will, if you have read the whole book of Job in chapters 38-41 God shows us who He is and what we are compared to Him, which is nothing.

So let us as disciples of Christ continually say "blessed be the name of the Lord" and persevere in our trials as it says in James 1:12-

12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will recive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."

We need to persevere! God has promised us something amazing which is the crown of life! Also know as heaven. We are living this life only to die one day and go home to a place of eternal life, so let us continually praise God in all our trials and rejoice in His name and the gift of heaven which God Himself has promised us!! And I would also ask if you have read this blog if you would pray for me as well as all of the Christians, that we would persever, thanks

Rapppp

Let me tell you about a man named Matthew Crane,
Lately he has felt a little insane,
he has been playing a game and doing it in vain,
in his eyes now it has been made plain,
he thought he was walking straight down the lane
but he realized he is running the wrong way in rain,

he has been runnin' for quite some time,
in the wrong direction he has realized,
now lemme tell you the story of what happened and why-

it all started when he stopped reading his bible,
then he stopped prayin and stopped thinkin' a while,
he started thinkin about the world and all of its ways,
and thinking how he has seen way better days,

it began to get sorrowful and really sad,
the way he was thinking about his lost dad,
thinkin so hard now about his mom and if she is lost too,
thinkin' there is absolutley nothing he could do

at this point he is very far from God,
he is not thinking about the Lord but about himself and what he's got,
he is wrapped in his own ways, his own games,
doesnt realize he is runnin' in shame,
saying there is nothing that someone could blame,
thinking he was perfect and far from being lame,
this man by this time now is covered in his own chains,
his sins in himself he cannot contain,
giving into every temptation, every little vibration,
receiving his own satisfaction, saying "if its sin bring the action,"

Now i am going to puase it up for just a sec,
going to explain to you this ship wreck,

you should always stop to check,
stop playing the game and shuffling the deck,
take a look at your cards and examine
make sure you are not in spiritual famine,
always reading what God has to say,
each and every day, making sure he is leading the way,

cuase when you take the wheel,
you crash and burn and then you can't heal,
but you only learn to feel, how it can be real,
then your looking up at God sayin "whats the deal,"
what God is saying to you is "Please Kneel,
give me your life and let me take the wheel"

So when that time comes when you fall and bleed,
please learn to plead, then let God take the lead,
take heed and realize what you need,

lets let the story go on,
and watch matthew crane be God's pawn

"this man, a sinners man,
from now on said "God lets take your plan"
he has finally had it,
turned away from every last sin that had him

he jumped back into God's word,
filled with the holy bird,
a.k.a the holy spirit
he is screamin' so loud that everyone can hear it,

he is a new man a new creation,
fighting for the Lord's nation,
while bringing celebration of his new revalation,
just reading from a little galation-
galation 2:20 he has crucified himself with christ
saying it is no longer he who lives but christ who lives,
saying thank you god for giving me all your gifts,
including that sacrifice on the cross
even though you are the boss
you have suffered the ultimate loss,
paying the ultimate cost"

so now this man Matthew Crane,
is not a little insane,
he is not playing the game and not doing it in vain,
it has now once again been made plain
that he IS walking down the straight lane
not only is he NOT running in the rain,
but professing christ's name,
with boldness and without shame!

This really is a story not about Matthew Crane,
but the Lord and how in my life He shall reign,
so I am now letting you know don't do it in vain,
don't stop reading or prayin' or making the mistake that I made.

amen

Getting Back On!

I, Matthew Crane, have sat at my very own computer for about what feels like days, trying to come up with something to blog about. And as I sat here, many things have gone through my mind, like what goes on in moves, how the people in the movie are using my masters name in vain and how I was trying to enjoy this! It is stupid! When if you walked into a movie and they were using your name in vain? "Oh my matthew Crane" and they only used it when the got mad and they would even spit out a few cuss words and then your name as if it were one also? But as I am still sitting in front of my computer, I did not feel led to write a blog on that, then I thought about writing a blog on how we should do everything in excellence, but I am not prepared for that, so I decided not too :( And about a million other things I would have liket to blog about but I decided not too. I am just letting everyone know with this blog that I am jumping back on and putting procrastination behind myself, this is the first of many! But yea, I did not write a blog on anything in particular, just letting you know there will be some pretty deep blogs on this page soon, very very soon, like even maybe within the next day soon, so yea, thanX!

Being Lights By Worshiping Our Father

Last night I stayed over at my good friend D$'s house and we worked out and spent some time in God's word. Over all, we had a great time. I was awaken by a loud clomour it seemed, then I had come to realize it was Dillons bro blasting music. The song he was playing I had noticed immediatley, which is the song "rocksuperstar"! Here is the chorus to this song:

"So you wanna be a rock super star, and live large,
big house, five cars, your in charge,
comin' up in the world, don't trust no body,
gotta look over your shoulder constantly"

This song only portrays the world for what it really is and what it really wants. In this world so many people if not all of them are constantly building castles made out of sand with their own hands(putting there life in trying to get the matieral things of this world). This only makes me think of how Christians need to be extra careful in what we seek after, and to make sure we are truly seeking after the Lord above all else. As that one brand says, just because we are in this world does not mean we are of it. If fact we need to be the exact opposite of this world and not be selfish, and be selfless! We need to be the lights of this world, and everyone should be looking at us in a different way. As matt redman says in his song Shine, we need to be the stars of the universe and shine bright! And most of all we must be doing this out of worship for our Father God. The only way we are going to stand out of this world and be a light is if we show that we are not conformed by the things of this world and live a lifestyle of worship.

"1Therefore, I urege you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- This is your spiritual act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will."
Romans 12:1-2

So anyone and everyone who reads this blog, I encourage you, and those of us that are going to mexico, let us be a light to this world, and be different by not desiring big houses or cars but by thriving for the Lord's glorious majesty. Let us do great things, but let us do it all out of worship to our great and heavenly Father. Lord willing, let us glorify Him in all we do.

"So whether you eat or drink or whateveer you do, do it all for the glory of God."
1 corinthians 10:31

Follow Mother Duck

In the mornings I run the creek road that takes me to school. There is a creek that runs alongside the road that I run on. As I was going on a run befor school in the morning, I noticed a duckling and its mother in the distance. And as I ran closer I noticed that this duckling wasn't your average everyday duckling. But it was the cutest duckling I have ever seen! Moving on.... Then I took a good long look at the two ducks and noticed something, what I noticed was that the baby duckling was copying its mother duck, every exact movement. The mother would dive under water, then the duckling would dive. The mother duck would come back up, then the baby duckling would come up. Then the mother would take a few steps then the baby duckling would follow immediatly after her until she was under her. In this way, the baby learns the ways of her mother so she can survive in the life that she lives. Because if the duckling does not learn the ways of her mother, she will not survive in the wildlife, she will not be able to get food, or flee from preditors, or even fly. Bottom line, the baby duckling cannot survive without the mothers assistance. In the same way, we cannot survive without the Lord!

Matthew 16:24- "Then Jesus said t his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, he he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

As the baby duckling followers her mother, as christians we need to follow the Lord! When a baby duck mimics her mother, we need to mimic Christ as well. Just as a baby duck wouldn't survive without her mother, we would not survive without Christ. If we do not mimic Christ, if we do not follow His footsteps, if we do not learn from His ways, we won't survive as Christians! We need to as Christians constantly read the word of God so we can learn the ways of the Lord so we can survive in this wicked world of sin!

Accepting Rebuke

We all know, that accepting rebuke, or being rebuked is definitly not fun. Why? The reason why we don't want to be rebuked is because we all want to hear that we are doing a great job, or that we couldn't be any better. But unfortunetly, we are all born sinners, and born to make mistakes, which is the very nature of our heart. Another reason why we do not like to be rebuked or we fight rebuke is because of pride. We have pride in what we do and we do great. This goes along with us wanting to hear that we are excellent, but some people just cannot accept the fact that what they have did or done is or was wrong.

It is the heart that gives us our pride and foolishness. When you begin to have pride, you will fall, and you will fall hard. As it says in Proverbs 16:18-20

"18 Pride goes before destruction, a huaghty spirit before a fall. 19 Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud. 20 Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts the Lord."

In verse 20 it talks about taking heed to instruction and prospering, which is taking rebuke or advice. Take it and you will prospers.

Why do people rebuke, if you had read the blog right before this one, you would know that you rebuke out of love and because of love. That should be the only reason why you should rebuke someone is to love them by showing there fualt and helping them correct there ways. So, if rebuke someone, you know it is out of love. Why then do you think someone else would rebuke you? Do you think it is becuase they hate you, or they want to say you made a mistake, or they just want to see you sad. No. If you are or were rebuked, you should know that the reason you were rebuked is because that person wants to see your relationship with God grow! They want to correct you so that you would have no fualts and be blameless.

And you can also tell what a person is like on how they accept rebuke.

Proverbs 9:8-
"Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee."

So, you should always take rebuke with a wise and humble heart, because it says in this verse that if you are wise, you would not only just accept rebuke, but you would be thankful and love the person that has rebuked you. Why? Because they are saving you from making the wrong choice and trying to correct those fualts in you and help you grow in your relationship with the Lord. So here are some things to keep in mind while being rebuked as Chris Starr says

"1) It's coming from someone who is concerned enough about you to risk his relationship with you in order to help you.
2) Remember, open rebuke is better than secret love. It's better to be open than for it to be hidden.
3) It's one of God's ways to help you to grow and become conformed to His image.
4) Your response to the rebuker demonstrates the level of wisdom you have. ("rebuke a wise man and he will love thee")
5) Remember the sowing/reaping principle. How you receive it will be reaped when you have to rebuke someone in the future."

Remember, when accepting rebuke, be humble and love the rebuker, because they are showing you love and want to see you succeed!
